Fishing is our Speciality
At Highfields, we pride ourselves in offering excellent fishing in well-stocked yet well-balanced lakes. Great care has been taken to ensure that our lakes are not over-stocked to the detriment of the fish.
We are the experts in offering fishing in the holiday park environment. Other parks often promote fishing but in most cases it is usually a ‘bolt on’ attraction which is given very little attention. For us, fishing is the key ingredient. There are no jet ski’s buzzing round the lakes whilst you are trying to fish, reserved swims or day ticket anglers taking all the best swims at first light! We ensure the natural environment is maintained, over-commerciality is avoided and most important of all, our customers benefit from exclusivity.

We recognise that the quality, good condition and health of the fish stock is paramount and so emphasis has been placed on creating a natural, rich environment for all of the lakes’ inhabitants. Stocking levels have been carefully calculated to maintain a natural ecological balance. A mix of Carp & Coarse fish ranging in size have been introduced along with the all-important invertebrates, micro-organisms and plant life essential for the successful development of the lakes.
We have been part of the angling scene now for over 25 years and for us fishing is about getting back to nature, sitting contently by the water enjoying the aquatic flora and fauna whilst catching excellently conditioned fish. We are all about the general Coarse and pleasure angler. We are by no means a ‘commercial’ or ‘super commercial’ fishery.
Anglers at Highfields can expect a pleasant experience with good distance between swims and great fishing. Even when they are not fishing, they have superb views of water from their holiday home or often will just sit by the lake on their patio to eat their evening meal. You can’t get better than that!
Over the years we have developed a fantastic working relationship with Dr Bruno Broughton, the Uk’s leading fishery expert. Bruno has become a personal friend and has often given input on the lakes and fish stock.
